Pre trial for Le Aute owner set for Nov 19

The pre trial conference of Tumuatasi Mama Lefatia, owner of Le Aute Sports Bar, is set for November 19.

The date was set at Lefatia’s arraignment in High Court yesterday morning.

Represented by private attorney Marcellus Uiagalelei, the defendant is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and marijuana and possession with intent to distribute meth and marijuana.

The charges stem from a police raid of Le Aute premises on September 12 during which 3 ounces of methamphetamine and more than 20 handrolled marijuana joints were found along with paraphernalia associated with drug use such as pipes, cut straws small baggies.

Lefatia remains at the Territorial Correctional Facility unable to post bond of $100,000.

Prosecuting the case is Assistant Attorney General Woodrow Pengally.
