Samoa Police continue to ramp up their efforts to curb illegal drugs in the country.
Earlier this week they carried out a search of a property at Vaiusu, a village just 10 minutes west of Apia.
As a result, two men have been charged with cultivation and possession of marijuana.
Both have been detained to await an initial court appearance September 3rd.
Photographs on Samoa Police Service Facebook page show more than 30 marijuana plants growing in pot plants.
“Samoa Police Service wishes to advise the public that marijuana is illegal in Samoa,” they warned.
SPS also warned young people that a court conviction limits opportunities for convicted offenders towards a better future.
