In mid 2016 it was announced that the BlueSky Pacific Group was beng sold to Amalgamated Telecom Holdings of Fiji for $79.1 million, pending regulatory approval.
Since then the parent company of BlueSky, Amper SA, has been going through the review and approval process for the sale of the telecommunications company which operates in American Samoa, Samoa, Cook Islands and New Zealand.
ATH last year acquired the majority shareholding of Bluesky Samoa.

In an interview with BlueSky CEO, Toleafoa Douglas Creevey, he said that after a long period of hardly any progress, things are now moving a lot faster as far as the federal review of the transaction is concerned.
