GHC Reid Co. is seeking information from the public concerning two incidents of vandalism of company signs at the Veterans Memorial Stadium within a month.
General Manager Cherith Lober says a few days before Flag Day, someone vandalized GHC Reid signs for Vailima, Coca Cola and Vaimalu at the stadium.
Graphic design company, All Star Signs, offered to replace the ripped Vailima sign for free with a brand new Powerade sign.
And yesterday it was discovered that both the Powerade and Vaimalu signs were vandalized.
Other signs at the stadium were apparently untouched, leading to suspicions that this may be a personal vendetta against GHC Reid.
Lober said GHC Reid has paid the Veterans Memorial Stadium to display these signs at the stadium for over ten years.
She adds the signs give the stadium a fresh and vibrant look and are part of many contributions that their company makes to the community.
The general manager pointed out that their brand signage gives value and professional image to the sporting facility, much like what’s seen at sports facility off island.
And they are costly.
Lober said it is very sad that there are individuals in our community who have no sense of gratitude and respect for our facilities.
GHC Reid is hopeful that publicity about the vandalism will result in information about the incidents.
She said that the first onebefore Flag Day was reported to police but they have yet to hear back from DPS.
If you have any information contact Lober at 6991854 or the police at 633-1111.
