Gloria says her project took a long time but it was well worth it.
Before results were announced she was quite nervous and didn’t eat the whole day.
Hearing her name announced as the overall winner, Gloria shed tears and said she was overwhelmed.
She told KHJ News her victory is something to treasure because “it’s truly amazing and an honor to represent the land of her birth.”
Gloria will be representing American Samoa in the 2018 International Science and Engineering Fair in May in Pittsburgh, Pensylvannia.
Gloria thanked her Science teacher Miss J, ASPA employee Matt Erickson, Josephine Regis, Randy DeWees, Roy Tang and everybody who helped her.
