The Polynesian Airlines Twin Otter plane which was grounded at Pago Pago International Airport from last Tuesday due to mechanical problems was ferried to Apia Sunday, almost a week since it was out of service.
Mechanics were flown in from Apia to fix the aircraft and on Sunday afternoon the plane flew to Apia without passengers.
Local Station Manager Toe Loia says all Poly flights on the inter Samoa route and between Tutuila and Manu’a operated without disruption since their other two Twin Otters were in service.
