Hawaiian Air’s Monday night flight did not return to Honolulu last night.
The aircraft is still on the ground at Pago Pago International Airport and passengers have been told the plane will be taking off later this afternoon.
Calls to the local Hawaiian Air office did not go through as the phone was constantly busy.
Emails to the airline in Honolulu have not been answered.
Last night, passengers were all checked in and made their way to the departure lounge however they did not get to board the aircraft.
It was after 2 this morning that an announcement was made that Hawaiian’s return flight to Honolulu would be cancelled.
