Pay Attention If Your Child Has a Sore Throat

lbj-hospital-9

A team from the Oregon Science and Health University begins clinics at the LBJ Hospital this morning to check on children with heart conditions.

OHSU has been providing this service for the last several years with the doctors and nurses using their continuing education time or vacation leave to travel here.

The clinics will continue up to Friday and the OHSU team will also be conducting training for medical personnel at LBJ and Department of Health.

Dr Matagiese Tunoa of the LBJ Pediatric Clinic said one of the give away signs for children who may develop congenital heart problems is a sore throat.
