The bond trustee for the American Samoa Economic Development Authority has praised the board of directors of ASEDA for their due diligence, expertise and passion in successfully concluding the bond sale which is funding several big ticket needs in the territory.
Matt Dugdale, First Vice President of George K Baum and Company of Utah serves as ASEDA’s brokers in the bond sale.
He spoke at a press conference called by the ASEDA Board Saturday to “correct misinformation” about the bonds.
Dugdale said the bond business is very complicated and highly regulated and generally investors would go for municipal bonds issued by governments, as they tend to have a low interest rate, compared to corporate bonds.
