A confirmation hearing for Roy Hall Jr for another term as a member of the Retirement Fund Board did not take place because there were not enough senators present.
The nominee, an attorney and also owner of a bed and breakfast business, had to excuse himself to Senators Galeai Tuufuli, Tialavea Misi, Tuaolo Fruean, Laolagi Vaeao and Uti Petelo as he had to be at the courthouse at 9 am for a case.
Before leaving, the chamber he told senators present he hoped they would confirm him.
In the last session, senators rejected Hall’s nomination.
Hall has already been confirmed by the House of Representatives.
