From the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, President of the American Samoa National Olympic Committee, Victor Langkilde, reports that today he visited Paepaetele Mapu Jamias at the Riocentro Pavilion 6, venue for the boxing competition.
Paepaetele is a certified International Technical Official for boxing and is one of only 26 International Technical Officials selected from around the world to administer the boxing competition for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
There are 36 referees and 26 Technical Officials working the Rio Games.
This is Paepaetele’s second Olympics as an ITO…his first was in London.
He is also an Executive Member of International Boxing.
Langkilde says Paepaetele introduced him to some of the International Officials that work with him along with executive members.
