Polynesian Airlines has a second Twin Otter in the sky today and Local Station Manager Tuailemafua Toe Loia says their flight schedule is regaining some normalcy.

Its been more than two weeks since Polynesian has been operating on and off with just one aircraft, and some passengers were delayed 6-10 or more hours.

The airlines had to charter Fiji Air’s ATR 70-seater Friday night to accommodate stranded passengers which ran in to the hundreds.

There were two Fiji Air charters on Friday night to accommodate stranded travelers.

Tuailemafau says their third Twin Otter is still down for maintenance.  ,

Flights to Manu’a were suspended completely when the airline was down to one aircraft.

The airline will resume flights to Manu’a tomorrow.

And there will be a change for travelers flying from Tutuila to Ofu.

Tuailemafua says beginning tomorrow Polynesian will not accept any luggage for passengers from Tutuila to Ofu.

This is to accommodate fuel for the return flight from Ofu since there is no refueling depot in Ofu.

Passengers flying from Ofu to Tutuila will still be allowed luggage.

There are no changes to flights to and from Fitiuta.

Tuailemafua thanks Polynesian’s loyal customers for their patience and understanding and apologizes for the disruptions in their travel plans and inconvenience caused.
