Polynesian Airlines has been on many people’s bad list because of extensive delays in flights, bumped off luggage and lack of information from the airline to travelers.
Yesterday, passengers to Samoa were delayed a couple of hours because there was only one plane flying and it had to return too Apia after it left Fagalii because of a mechanical problem.
Passengers booked to go to Manu’a were frustrated when told that there would be no flight yesterday morning.
Travelers who were set to go to Apia did not leave until more than 2 hours after their scheduled flights.
Because of the long delays and one aircraft, Polynesian has been flying past midnight since last week at what is one of the busiest travel periods on the inter island route.
Callers to KHJ News complained that Polynesian wants to be like bigger airlines with their on line booking service, fare structure and freight charges, but it doesn’t offer any vouchers when their flights are delayed, or mileage to compensate for the long waits and missing connecting flights.
