The four contestants vying for the title of Miss American Samoa, yesterday, faced the judges in their pre-pageant interviews with confidence.
They started with prepared presentations on their selected topics, and then they answered judges questions.
This is the first judged portion of the competition.
Here are excerpts from the four contestants on the topics of education, drugs, environment and tourism.
Contestant #1, Kiahna Siufanua, whose topic was on education offered this recommendation as a way to improve children’s education.

Tonight at Lee Auditorium, reigning Miss American Samoa Kauhani Fuimaono will pass the crown to one of these four young women. Good luck ladies!
