The Tolotolo o Tama Uli fautasi from Salelologa, Savaii, has powered away with the 2023 Fautasi regatta with a resounding victory over its rivals.

The reigning champion led from the start and was never challenged winning by at least 5 mins ahead of its rivals.

The excitement for the 60th Independence Anniversary race, however, was the race for second place which went down to the wire.

Don Bosco skippered by Vaimasenu’u Zita Martel in her “last” race just held out the fast finishing Telefoni o le Vainu’u, helmed by lawyer Leiataualesa Jerry Brunt in his first ever race.

Just finishing fourth and fifth were the Little Rina from Toamua and the Segavao, crewed by Marist St Joseph’s.
