While heart disease has been the leading cause of death in the territory for several years, the LBJ Hospital has never had a permanent cardiologist on its staff.
But that will soon change. Before LDS missionary cardiologist, Dr. Eric Carter ends his 18 month mission in the territory, a permanent full time cardiologist will be on board.
