The Department of Health is hosting visiting medical specialists this month.
Tonight, a cardiology team from Oregon Health and Science University will be arriving for screening of children with heart disease.
This is the first visit by OHSU in a few years. The screening will begin tomorrow, up to February 9th.
Children with heart conditions will receive a call for an appointment to see the visiting specialists.
Another team of specialists is arriving next week. This is an Ophthalmology team being hosted by DOH and the Lions Club of Pago Pago.
The team will conduct screening at selected schools for children whose vision may be impaired.
If you have questions about both teams, call 219 or 633-4008.
