Police in Samoa are currently investigating how a woman managed to stow away on a Fiji Airways flight that departed Samoa on Christmas Eve, for Fiji.
TV1Samoa reports Deputy Commissioner Papalii Monalisa Tiai-Keti shared that police are looking into how she got past the normal departure processes including immigration, customs and security clearance.
The woman is suspected to have hidden in the plane’s toilet during the flight, and was only discovered after the plane landed in Fiji.
She was apprehended and returned to Samoa on the same flight, and police will lay charges when investigations are completed.
