A tough transition but parents tough love helped

Transitioning from island life to the vigorous schedule of the Air Force Academy is tough. But Victor Chen, who is in his second year at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado says the discipline at home has helped him.

He’s thankful for the preparations he received from his parents, especially his mom, which have helped him cope with the challenging physical training schedule as well as academic classes.

Victor, a graduate of Pacific Horizon School is presently visiting his parents, Mr and Mrs Manu’a Chen, for two weeks.

He talked about the experience of an island boy at the prestigious institution which trains officers of the Air Force Academy.
