The Peabody Museum at Harvard University boasts over 20,000 artifacts in its Oceania collection, some of which date back to the 1800’s.

Getting the word out about the collection is one of the reasons why the curator of the Oceania Section, Dr. Ingrid Ahlgren, is visiting American Samoa and Samoa.

Yesterday, she gave a presentation at the American Samoa Community College, where she showed photos of some of the pieces in the collection.
