
The Director of Homeland Security was contacted over the weekend by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) about a possible case of cyber bullying.
Director Samana Semo Veavea confirmed to KHJ News, that a local resident had made contact with the feds about being the victim of threats and bullying online.
The FBI then made contact with the Department of Homeland Security and alerted the Director about the claims.
Samana said, they have questioned the alleged victim in an effort to identify the culprit or culprits in the cyber bullying claims.
He added, they are also researching the law books in search of any existing laws to prosecute cyber crimes.
He declined to give any other information, as their investigations are just starting.
