There’s still time for those needing it to apply for help to pay power and water bills, from the Give Light Initiative.
The deadline has been moved to May 30th and the financial assistance offered is now $100.
This is made possible by a grant from the American Samoa Government and donations from businesses and individuals.
The Give Light Initiative is a collaboration of four non profit organizations: Esther Group, Foeoletini Foundation, Rotaract Club of Pago Pago and Agency for Better L:ving Endeavors.
Christina Lutu-Sanchez of ABLE says applicants need to provide proof they earn less than $18,000 a year.
