
Family members can only be allowed into LBJ Hospital’s COVID-19 Ward, if the attending physician determines there’s a medical need to do so.
Relatives of COVID patients admitted to the special ward say, one of the most agonizing experiences is for family members to be by themselves in their final moments, without family members by their side.
KHJ News asked if LBJ Hospital would consider revising their visitation policy so that family members would be present at a patients final moments. LBJ’s Acting Chief of Staff Dr. Akapusi Ledua gave this answer.

Dr. Ledua said, the tablets gifted by BlueSky are being used by COVID patients to stay in contact with their families while hospitalized and also say their goodbyes.
