
While the latest Emergency Declaration for Covid-19 removes “essential” and “non-essential” businesses, it still includes a list of businesses and places that cannot open at this time. The list includes:
- Bars;
- Bingo;
- Child daycare facilities;
- Gyms and fitness centers;
- Hair salons, barbershops, nail salons or services;
- Movie theaters;
- Outdoor fundraising activities; and
- Recreational facilities that are open to the public.
But the attorney general said at Monday’s press conference these businesses can submit requests for re-opening, and their requests will be reviewed by the Covid-19 Task Force Chairman.
The Chairman, Lt Governor Talauega Eleasalo Ale fielded a question about assistance for employees who have not received a paycheck in the last three weeks.
