
Bank of Hawaii plans to open at their Tafuna Branch the day after Labor Day Monday, Tuesday, September 6.
BOH Vice President-Branch Manager in American Samoa EJ Ozu, says they will retain their current 8 employees when they open at Tafuna.
In preparation for the closing of their existing place of operation, the ground floor of the Centennial Building , BOH is relocating its ATM from the Centennial Building to the AP Lutali Executive Office Building in Utulei.
The ATM will be relocated on August 18th.
Asked if a date has been for BOH to close permanently in the territory, Ozu said no.
Once the BOH moves out of the Centennial Building, the Territorial Bank of American Samoa will be moving in that space.
The General Manager of the government bank, Mr. Phil Ware , arrived last month.
The former president of Celtic Bank based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Mr. Ware has worked in the banking business in Utah since 1971.
The Territorial Bank of American Samoa is currently looking for staff.
