This Friday is Deaf Night at the Dept. of Youth & Women Affairs (DYWA) building in Tafuna. The program runs from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and you are encouraged to attend.
The public invitation says, “By learning American Sign Language (ASL), hearing people can become more culturally aware of deaf culture, as well as deaf mannerisms, perspectives, history and the overall connection between members of the deaf community.”
“Becoming more culturally aware can allow you to open your mind to new perspectives, beliefs, and understandings. Be a part of the Deaf Community!”
The event will be held on the second floor of the DWYA building in the private room and the public is invited.
