
BlueSky has responded generously to the American Samoa Government’s appeal for donations for travelers arriving on the first repatriation flight while they are in quarantine.
On Friday the telecommunications company presented 800 SIM cards and cases of snacks for the ASG appeal.
The SIM cards are pre loaded with 500 local minutes, 1,000 SMS, 3GB of data valid for 7 days, and $5 e-charge. A company press release says the donation represents $70,000 in services.
Newly appointed CEO of BlueSky, Justin Tuiasosopo said BlueSky was happy to help residents arriving on the first repatriation flight stay connected with their aiga while in quarantine.
He added that their technicians are making sure internet capacity at the quarantine site is strengthened.
Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga thanked BkueSky for its generous donation and also congratulated Tuiasosopo for his recent appointed as CEO.
He also thanked BkueSky for maintaining communication links on island and also with the outside world.
