Benefit fashion show illustrates high standard of local designs

American Samoa’s fashion industry was on full display Saturday night at a benefit show for the International Community- Holy Family Parish, at the Tradewinds Hotel Pavilion.

With the theme, “Dreams Come True in Blue Fashion,” the gala event featured island themed clothing for men and women by some of the territory’s top fashion houses: Island Image Creations. owned by Theresa “Teri Steffany,  JLen T’s  owned by Lenita Schwalger Young, Eveni Carruthers managed by Margaret Carruthers and Exclusive by offdarock with owners Leuila and Joseph Ioane.

The crowd clapped with appreciation  and oohed and aahed  as the models, which included children, teens and adults of both sexes strutted their stuff on the catwalk
The event was streamed live on Moana TV and also on Bluesky’s FaceBook page.
The creations displayed that evening illustrated the high standard that American Samoa has set in  fashion with a distinctive island flair.
All proceeds go to Hope House, Catholic schools, seminarian education and the Office of Catholic Social Services, to name a few.  .
