Twelve non profit organizations have been awarded grants of between $10,000 and $20,000 by the Amerika Samoa Humanities Council Board, chaired by Senator Faiivae Alex Godinet.

The funding is from the COVID-19 CARES Act Program to assist with humanities-based projects affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic.

A press statement from the Council says the applicants went through a competitive application process. All projects funded under the H.E.A.R.T. Program are open to the public at no cost.

Tauaisafune Niualama Taifane, Executive Director of the Amerika Samoa Humanities Council said on behalf of the Board President and members of the Humanities Council, congratulate the recipients of the American Samoa H.E.A.R.T. Grant Program.
