There will be cases where some tax filers who received a stimulus check directly from the Internal Revenue Service would get a second check from ASG’s stimulus check distribution.
Deputy Treasurer Keith Gebauer made it clear that the Economic Impact Payment or stimulus is a one time payment so those who get a second check have to return it to the Tax Office.

Stimulus checks worth $24 million will be distributed tomorrow in mailboxes for those who filed their 2019 taxes up to May 14. Those who haven’t filed their 2019 taxes but filed their 2018 taxes should expect their checks next week.
Those who don’t have post office boxes can call the Disbursing Office at 633-4155 on Tuesday and schedule a time to pick up your check.
