According to the National Weather Service, Tropical Wasi has met some unfavorable conditions and preliminary data indicates that Wasi might be falling apart and not circulating as earlier imagery had shown.
However, we are not out of the woods yet, TS Wasi could come into more favorable ocean temperatures and strengthen again.
It’s currently 150 miles to our west/south west and dropping south, although Wasi could still come towards American Samoa.

The current conditions of wind and rain will persist for the next 24 hours, NWS says wind speeds of 30-40 mph and gusts of up to 55 can be expected all day Saturday.
With the heavy rainfall grounds are heavily saturated so there’s high probality for landslides.
Strong winds will also do damage to homes.
American Samoa remains under a Tropical Storm Warning.
