Travel restrictions by American Samoa to address the potential spread of novel Coronavirus has moved the Samoa Shipping Corporation to suspend all sailings of the MV Lady Naomi between the two Samoas, effective immediately.
The corporation announced on social media yesterday that all sailings have been suspended until further notice.
“We wish to advise the travelling public between Apia and Pago Pago that MV Lady Naomi’s trip to Pago Pago scheduled for Thursday 06 February 2020 is now cancelled,” SSC said on Facebook.
The Samoa Government owned corporation said the cancellation was due to new travel conditions imposed by American Samoa’s Department of Health to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.
Last week American Samoa suspended all Ok boards, and required all foreign travelers to obtain entry permits, the review of which would take 30 days.
