Music will be in the air at the American Samoa Community College Multi Purpose Complex Thursday, May 23 when the Music Department of the Department of Education presents the High School Music Festival.
Only four of the six public high schools will be fielding choirs: Fagaitua, Samoana, Tafuna and Leone High School.
The choirs will perform in acapella, solo, the main selection, “His Yoke” and a cultural number.
An opening ceremony is set for 9am with welcoming remarks by Deputy Director of DOE, Su’a Philo Jennings, invocation by Rev Iasepi Ulu and special remarks by DOE Director Dr.Ruth Matagi Tofiga.
This will be a judged competition and a panel of judges has been selected to pick the winners.
The public is invited to attend, admission is free.
