Conflicting drug test results for man on probation

A man who was sentenced to fuve years probation on a drug charge offense is hoping conflicting drug test results from LBJ Hospital and the Probation Office will save him on a probation violation charge.

According to Samoa News, Iosefo Sagote, had been given a random drug test on December 18, 2018 at the LBJ Hospital  for methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine, opiates and benzodiazephine which were all negative.

Family members have reportedly told Samoa News that Sagote was tested earlier that day by the Probation Office and the results were positive.

This isn’t the first time Sagote has been tested by the Probation Office, and it also isn’t the first time he’s tested positive.

In June this year, he tested positive for marijuana and Sagote allegedly admitted to the Probation Office, at the time, that he had smoked ‘weed’ three weeks prior.

But his family are adamant he had not been on drugs.

“He hasn’t been doing drugs and so the positive results for meth and weed were shocking to us,” said a family member who spoke to Samoa News.

“He insisted that he take a drug test at the LBJ Hospital and all his blood work came back negative.”

Sagote is on probation after he was found guilty on one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), a class D felony; and attempting to import a controlled substance (marijuana), a class A misdemeanor.
