The west wide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) station which was removed from the DPS substation at Tafuna last month, has found a new home.
The new location is the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Facility (ARFF) at Pago Pago International Airport.
LBJ CEO Faumuina John Faumuina says Director of Port Administration Taimalelagi Dr. Claire Poumele offered the use of the airport fire station for EMS .
He said, “I am so grateful for Director Taimalelagi as this is the most appropriate space for EMS given its role as the first responder at the airport and at the same time providing emergency services to the Western District population.
LBJ Hospital and Port Administration are now develeoping an MOU outlining their duties and responsibilities for the EMS station.
