
The life of attorney William Willie Reardon was celebrated at a Mass at the Holy Family Cathedral at Fatuoaiga this morning.
Mr Reardon passed away April 11, after several years of illness. He was 76.
A large number of attorneys, business associates, friends and family of Mr Reardon and his wife Soa turned out to pay their respects.
In her eulogy, daughter Taimane describde her father as an intelligent man who loved to argue, had a sharp tongue and was a rebel at a young age and as an adult.
Mr. Reardon moved to American Samoa more than 50 years ago and was well known in the community.
He was an active member of the American Samoa Bar Association before he fell ill
The US flag covered the casket of this ex-marine and he was afforded appropriate honors by a marine honor guard at his burial at the Holy
Family Cemetery.
Mr Reardon is survived by his wife Soaimaile and five children, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A favorite saying of Willie was from the Actor Robert De Niro: “You learned the two greatest things in life, never rat on your friends and always keep your mouth shut.”
