
Samoana High School graduate and Fagatogo native Queengrace Tiumalu is among the flight attendants for Samoa Airways, the new international airline of Samoa,
She is the eldest daughter of Rev. Paulo & Allice Tiumalu who are pastors for the Voice of Christ Oil of Joy Church in Samoa.
The 22 year old graduated from Samoana in 2013 and the American Samoa Community College last year with an Associate of Arts degree.
She was visiting her parents in Samoa when Samoa Airways was advertising for flight attendants and decided to give it a go.
“And Lord behold I got it,” she told KHJ News. ” I am proud to represent American Samoa in the new airline of Samoa.”
With her new job she has moved to Apia.
About being selected Queengrace said, “I feel blessed to have been picked and now that we have launched, i am excited to see our crew and airline grow.”
Samoa Airways had its inaugural flight to New Zealand yesterday using a 737-800 leased from Iceland Air,
The airline will also be flying to Australia and later on to the US, Asia and Europe under a code share agreement with Fiji Air,
