Samoans throughout the world are reacting with emotion to the farewell speech by Samoa’s Head of State Tuiatua Tupua Tamasese Efi which was broadcast on TV3 last night.
The speech was immediately circulated on social media.
Tuiatua who keynoted American Samoa’s 2017 Flag Day in April spoke as a father, giving advice, thank yous and parting words.

Tuiatua ends his term as Head of State tomorrow and his successor Tuimalealiifano Vaaletoa Sualauvi II will be sworn in at the temporary Parliament Building at Tuanaimato tomorrow afternoon.
