Three members appointed to Survey Board

When he appointed three members to the Survey Board, Governor Pulaali’i Nikolao Pula, requested that the appointees deal with three vessels that are no longer operating.

The Survey Board serves as the initial reviewing body for all survey equipment and vehicle-related matters prior to final approval by the Lieutenant Governor.

The Board members are: Fa’alava’i Ta’ase – Deputy Director of Public Works, Talalelei Vesi Fautanu – Deputy Director of the Department of Health and Puletumalo Dick Koko – Senior Advisor, Office of the Governor.

“It is critical that the Office of Property Management proceed immediately in accordance with the law and administrative code regarding Survey Board authority, survey review and approval, and public auction and disposition procedures,” said hte Governor.

“Due to the urgency of the situation, the Survey Board is requested to immediately consider the emergency involving the three non-operational vessels – MV Sili, MV Pago, and the barge currently under the custody of the Department of Port Administration”.
