
The East Pacific Regional Championships concluded Saturday with an awards ceremony at the tennis courts at Lions Park.
The American Samoa Tennis Association which hosted the week long tournament with the support of local businesses, said it was a successful event which saw competition among nearly 80 elite junior athletes from five Pacific Island countries: Tahiti Tonga, Cook Islands, Samoa and American Samoa. ASTA President Florence Wasko congratulated all participants, stating: “We are incredibly proud of every team and athlete who competed this week. The level of play continues to rise across the East Pacific, and these championships reflect the commitment of our junior athletes, coaches, and families.”
