Taulapapa Will Sword and Felix Penalosa discuss fisheries outreach with meetings this week!
Fishers and community members of American Samoa, this is your invitation to help shape the future of our ocean and our people.
The Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council is hosting Fishing Community Meetings across the territory. These meetings are for you – fishers and the whole community – to speak up about the healthy future of our ocean.
Discussion topics include deep sea mining, the Muliava Marine National Monument, changes in our environment, infrastructure concerns, youth engagement, and data collection.
Meetings begin Wednesday, November 12th 10:30am on Ta'u, Thursday, November 13th 10am on Ofu and Olosega, and two meetings on Friday, November 14th: at 2pm for Manu'a residents on Tutuila and 5:30pm for Tutuila and Aunu'u residents at the Tradewinds Hotel.Your voice.
