Acting Treasurer Brett Butler says Treasury plans to have all tax refunds paid out by the end of October.
Last Friday, without any prior notice, Treasury released a new batch of tax refund checks.
According to Butler, there were 593 checks issued in that batch, with a total worth of the checks was $1, 315,716. The checks were for those who filed their 2024 taxes between April 3 to April 23. This was the first time in several months that Treasury released tax refunds.
With White Sunday coming up, those still waiting for their refunds are hopeful they will get their checks in time to splurge on their children.
