This Saturday, friends and family of a beloved taebo instructor—who devoted more than three decades conducting free sessions for local residents—will gather to walk in the shoes of Apulu Veronika Mortenson.
The walk, which will promote breast cancer awareness, begins at 6 a.m. at Fagaalu Park and ends at Utulei Beach. There will be a workout session—yes, taebo for sure—and the Department of Health will have a booth to share information about cancer.
Apulu’s daughter, Tala Mortenson, says her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.
