
Heavy winds and rainfall overnight and into this morning had the National Weather Service issuing a flash flood warning, a wind advisory, and high surf warning for the territory. The inclement weather is due to a cold front and trough currently over American Samoa.
Sustained winds of up to 35 miles per hour, with gusts exceeding 40 mph, have been recorded. A wind advisory is in effect for today and tonight.
A high surf warning has also been issued until tonight.
