The proposed Fiscal Year 2026 budget for ASG indicates a 3% drop in the total workforce, from 7,728 in the current fiscal year to 7,485.
A total of 5,892 employees are career service, down 1% from this year’s total of 5,933 career service employees.
The number of contract employees is reduced by 11%. There are 1,794 contract employees in this year’s budget and this will drop to 1,592 in the new fiscal year, according to the executive summary of the proposed FY2026 budget.
Of the projected local revenues in the FY2026 budget of $141.2 million, 69.3% goes to personnel services.
The proposed budget totals $815,392,069, an increase of 11% compared to the FY2025 budget of $733,683,167.
