Hawaii Governor Josh Green says he accepted the invitation to attend the 125th Flag Day celebration to show his respect for the people of American Samoa and Governor Pulaalii Nikolao Pula.
A physician by profession, Governor Green toured the LBJ Hospital on Tuesday and also attended the opening of US Navy Week.
He said it was an honor to be the first Governor of Hawaii to attend American Samoa’s Flag Day celebration.
