
Governor Pulaalii Nikolao Pula has submitted to the Fono for confirmation the nominations of two newly appointed acting directors: Frederick Unasa Ledoux as Chief Procurement Officer and Sesula Feuleai McMoore-Tufele as Director of the Office of Program Planning and Budget.
Ledoux is a US Army retiree. During his illustrious military career, he held several leadership positions including as Supervisor of Telemetry and Medical Ward at Tripler Army Medical Center, Manager of Medical Company Operations, First Calvary Division, Fort Hood Texas and Deputy Chief, Health Care Operations at the 25th Infantry Division, Wahiawa, Hawaii. He was also Deputy Chief, Clinical Operations at Raymond Bliss Health Center at Fort Huachuca, Arizona and Senior Healthcare Advisor, Security Force Advisory, US Army Wahiawa.
Following retirement, he was an Immigration Services Officer in Las Vegas, then joined the US Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation in Boulder City, Nevada where he served as Procurement and Contract Specialist. He returned to the territory in 2023 and was employed at the LBJ Hospital as Director, Purchasing and Supply Chain.
He holds a Masters of Business Administration from University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the same university and a Associate of Arts Degree from Central Texas College, Killen, Texas.
MS Sesula Fepuleai McMoore-Tufele was a financial analyst at the Fono for five years, before joining the Department of Health where she was Financial Manager from 2011 to October of 2013. From November 2015 to the time of her appointment, she operated a business, At Your Service Plus.
She holds a Master of Arts in Organization Finance Management from Wayland Baptist University and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, Management and Accounting from Milton University, Wisconsin, graduating magna cum laude.
Her confirmation hearing is set for Thursday morning in the Senate before the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee, while Ledoux‘s appointment will be reviewed by the Senate Government Operations Committee on Friday morning.
