2nd – $21,000
3rd – $18,000
4th – $16,000
5th – $14,000
6th – $12,000
7th – $10,000
8th – $8,000
9th – $6,000

The race is set for 7:30am, Tuesday, April 16.

All fautasi are to be at the rally point at Utulei at 6:30am and are to make their way together to the starting point.

There will be a designated jet ski for each fautasi to follow to the starting line.

The Manu’atele and tugboat will be stationed several hundred yards behind the starting line. Each fautasi will be required to turn around in front of the Manuatele, or tugboat, and position themselves in their lanes.

All fautasi must stay behind the jet ski and NOT be in front of the jet ski prior to the start of the race.

The committee has made clear that any fautasi that is in front of their jet ski, or starting prior to the official start of the race will be disqualified.

Once all fautasi are lined up, the jet skis will move away indicating that the race is about to start.

The horns from the Manu’atele, tugboat, SAR and DMWR vessels (simultaneously) will signal the start of the race.

Lanes for the race were drawn Thursday morning at a meeting of the Fautasi Race Committee, chaired by Archie Taotasi Soliai with Lt. Governor Laapui Talauega Ale as the Co-Chairman of the Flag Day Committee and fautasi captains.
