Samoa Police were called after a longstanding land boundary dispute between Afega and Levii, Sale’imoa escalated into stone throwing and the discharging of firearms yesterday.

Samoa Observer reports Police Commissioner, Auapaau Logoitino Filipo, said the outcome of two Land and Titles Court decisions, including the appeal went in favor of the village of Afega.

The decision that affects most of the lands at Levi, Sale’imoa has been a bitter pill to swallow for some who took a stand and confronted Afega villagers who had arrived with heavy machinery to build a road.

An urgent meeting has been called between Levi leaders and Police today to explain that the LTC is final.

Auapa’au said Police will have to act and start charging people if they continue to intervene in Afega’s work, and reject the court decision.
