The entertainment line up for the, “Aloha Concert for Maui Recovery,” happening this Friday at Sadie’s by the Sea is growing by the day.
The fundraiser is coordinated by local musicians in partnership with the Local Red Cross, and all proceeds will go towards Maui via the Red Cross.
There’s no cover charge for the event but those attending are asked to donate from the heart. It’s from 5pm to 10pm.
Maestro Ulale Ulale will anchor the band stand with a revolving group of guest singers and musicians including: Tom Scanlan, James Kneubuhl, Siuleo Pouesi Jr. Lawrence Lua, Peter Young, Henry Masaniai and Tia Cummings. Two children’s groups will also perform. Miss American Samoa Judy Paua’a-Taunuu will be on stage alongside her nieces.
Program coordinator Pauga Joey Cummings said, “It’s going to be a fun night that emphasizes Aloha over all else. If there are other groups that want to perform, we’ll be circulating a sign-up list at the event. Everybody will have a chance to send their love to the people of Maui through song and dance. The most important thing to remember is that this is a free event and a fundraiser. That means bring your dancing shoes and all the dollars you can!”
